Yuniao Liusu is located at the entrance of Liangzhu Cultural Village and is known as the "living room" of the cultural village. It used to be a village and still retains some of the village's fabric. The food street and the villagers' cafeteria, which have been nourishing the Liangzhu villagers for over a decade, are situated on both sides of the original main village road. The "Villagers' Convention" established by the first-generation villagers also stands on this site. In this sense, perhaps it is more appropriate to call Yuniao the "village entrance" of the cultural village.
The entire community is divided into six apartment groups with different forms according to the slight undulations of the site, clustering around the central public area. It simulates the natural formation state of a village, grows in line with the terrain, yet maintains a centripetal characteristic. The public area is a group of courtyard-style buildings, controlled by spatial axes in two directions. The shape of the main courtyard is an irregular pentagon. On the west side of the public area is the end of the main axis of the entire Yuniaoji. This diagonal axis that runs across the entire site is also where the original main village road and the villagers' cafeteria were located.
We use a main pedestrian entrance to connect with the lively atmosphere of the commercial street, hidden in the prosperity of the marketplace. In terms of form, the height of the buildings along the street is deliberately lowered to reveal two triangular ridges behind them, forming a vague mountain shape, hinting at the existence of the distant mountains and also suggesting that there is another quiet and prosperous world inside. On the east side, through the corridor frame of the large granary and the small woods, it faces the Big Roof from a distance. Here, an entrance for passengers to get off vehicles is set up as a ceremonial entrance.
