The project involves the overall renovation of the existing building for use as rental housing, aiming to promote the improvement of the surrounding environment in terms of both functions and the urban interface.
Renewal and Utilization of Building Functions: The space is utilized as reasonably as possible to the greatest extent, giving full play to the rental usage function to meet the usage requirements. The first floor is equipped with supporting functions to serve the tenants of the whole building, and an appropriate number of convenient service outlets for residents are added. After renovation, the second to seventh floors are used as rental housing.
Enhancement and Beautification of the Urban Interface: The renovation of the facade continues the original relationship between solid and void. The original volumetric effect is enhanced through exterior wall coatings of different colors. The color selection of the exterior wall coatings fully takes into account the harmony with the surrounding buildings and appropriately reflects the characteristics of the times. To present appropriate architectural details, dark gray metal frames are used to outline the outer edges of balconies and window openings. The guardrails on the periphery of balconies are decorated in a sheet-like manner. Through the dislocation and repetition of simple elements, a modern decorative sense is achieved.
