China Resources Health Town: A Health-Function-Composite Town Integrating Medical Education and Rehabilitation Industries

The project is located on the northern side of Hangzhou City and is on the urban fringe. However, the transportation around the site is convenient. It is adjacent to the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal on the east side and boasts beautiful scenery. China Resources Health Town has introduced the concept of multiple and composite urban functions, emphasizing the integration of industries with each other and of industries with supporting facilities. The town's planning incorporates the spirit of Liangzhu and blends with the environment, highlighting the concept of buildings in harmony with mountains and waters. As a modern medical industry town, it enables people to enjoy modern civilization while also allowing their hearts to return to nature and relish a peaceful and quiet state.

The design aims to create a demonstration town of the "Low-Carbon Ark", emphasizing green and low-carbon features. Green designs such as solar energy utilization, water resource recycling, ground-source heat pumps, and roof greening are adopted, and the concept of "Smart City" has been introduced into the community. The "Smart Community" based on high-tech such as the Internet of Things and cloud computing is a "cell" of the "Smart City".

China Resources International Medical College is located on the northernmost side of the site, with the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal to its east. The buildings are arranged in an enclosed manner to form four groups. In a park-like environmental setting, diverse campus facilities, classrooms, and management facilities will be constructed. The medical area is the key part that the whole town focuses on building, laying the foundation for the tone of the entire town. It includes a general hospital with 20,000 beds, a characteristic diagnosis and treatment base, an international medical center, a rehabilitation center, and an elderly care community.
