Looking back at the city and embracing nature is the starting point of the design, while the feeling of misty clouds and hot springs steaming faintly in the mountains is the design inspiration triggered by this moment and place. This project adopts an open ceramic rod curtain wall, combining glass and ceramic rod grille to create a continuous transparent, semi transparent, and opaque surface, blurring the boundary between indoor and outdoor, and approaching the essence of hot springs, allowing the building to blend into the surrounding natural environment.
Decompose the form along the irregular land boundary, first forming an irregular quadrilateral base. On the solid base, the three story volume surrounds the large terrace facing the Laoshan Forest Park and is cut into three separate sloping roofs, weakening the overall sense of building volume and embracing nature in a V-shaped posture. At the entrance, a triangular rain shelter is used to extend the passenger area outward, making the form more relaxed.
